Dream of dreaming you,

In this desolate hour,

Is all I can do.

Meet me on the edge of time,

Kiss me along the starline.

Lay your pale skin on mine,

Bath me in your blue eyes' shine.

Let me dream your heartbeat,

Let me feel your life.

Let me breathe it in,

Let me keep its light.

Make me taste your fingertips

Drown your hands in my brown hair

And speak strawberry words in your ear

And talk of things only the night will hear

And count the waves til sunrise

And wash away all of our spirits’ cries.

OFAH: Klaudia meets Del Boy

The Nag's Head. 1983.

Rodney and Klaudia bump into each other and start chatting.

RODNEY: So, I hear you're a bit of an artist.

KLAUDIA: Me? Nah, I just draw from time to time.

RODNEY: You know, I'm an artist. 

KLAUDIA: Really?! What do you paint?

RODNEY: No nothing, I just have a GCE in art. 

KLAUDIA: Oh...

RODNEY: And maths! 

KLAUDIA: And maths!! So you're both right-brained and left-brained then!

Enters Del. 

DEL: More like wally-brained! 

RODNEY: Frowns. Have you met my brother yet?

DEL: Turns to Klaudia. 'Ello darling, you alright? I'm Del, short for Derek. And may I have the pleasure to know your name sweetheart? Leans over, kisses her hand. 

KLAUDIA: My name is Klaudia.

DEL: Klaudia?! Klaudia!! Did you know that Klaudia is my most favorite name? Gets closer and closer. 

KLAUDIA: Is it really...

DEL: It is! D'you know I have dreams in which I'm calling my significant other by my most favorite name - Klaudia. Says solemnly, lifts eyes towards the ceiling. 

RODNEY: Yeh. He also has little black books full of favorite names. 

DEL: Yeah, yeah, that's right thank you Rod... Of course you know, the only book RODNEY owns is ''Relationships For Dummies''. 

RODNEY: Alright, alright, I got some experience!!

DEL: Leave it out Rodney, all you ever got was boots!

KLAUDIA: Turns to Rodney. Rodney, I was wondering if you'd like to join me for a drink tonight?

DEL: No no darlin', he's busy tonight you see. He's at the perverts' club, discussing the best nurse outfit. 

RODNEY: Would you just shut up, Del!! Thank you Klaudia, I would love to meet you tonight. 

KLAUDIA: Excellent! Bring your policeman uniform, will ya?

OFAH: Rodney meets Klaudia

The Nag's Head. Late afternoon.

KLAUDIA: Stares at Rodney from across the bar. Smiles. 

RODNEY: Looks around. Nervously smiles back. ''Watcha!''

KLAUDIA: ''Hello! I'm Klaudia''.

RODNEY: ''I'm married!''


KLAUDIA: Rolls eyes, takes a sip of her coke, turns away. 

RODNEY: Shakes himself off, approaches her. ''Sorry I've been so rude, I don't know what came over me really ... I'm Rodney. You new here?''

KLAUDIA: Smiles. ''Yeah, just moved here a week ago. Was hoping to make some friends. Is your wife around?''

RODNEY: Looks at her from head to toe. ''No she ain't! I mean ... She don't fancy going to pubs much. But you could meet my brother, eh?''

KLAUDIA: ''That'd be lovely! I do need to meet nice people. Some dodgy characters around here!!''

RODNEY: ''Yeah, 's true innit ........... Just say no if he tries to flog you an 'air dryer alright?''.

One Day I Will Find You

One day I will find you; between the leaps of time, sitting in a moment, asking for me. You will defy destiny, you won’t care about gravity. You will have puppy eyes, and a prayer in your jacket.
