If.

My love, my soul
There will come a time
A day, a minute, an arrow
Which will pierce through this lifetime of mine
Making me happy and cutting me in half
My bones, my veins
All I want for you is joy
The moment to last eternally.

May she love you at least half as much as I do
May she love you at least as much as I do
May she love you at least a 100 times more than I do
May God not make me the only one for you.

And if she was to reject the blood of your blood
My blood I will transfer, my life I will lend you
It's on a plate for you to take
It's on my sleeve for you to grab

It's like all those times I said I loved you.
It's set in stone, it's what cells are made of.
It's like the twinkle in your eye and the tear in mine.
It's never fading, it's tied across the sky.

So if love defies you
You know which heart to turn to
My soul, my love
If there ever comes a time.
